2017 Gift Guide: Gifts That Give Back

December 7, 2017

There are so many great ethical gift guides already out there, but a few products came across my radar that I wanted to share, so I threw this little list together.  Everything on it is responsibly made and also benefits a worthy organization, so if you’re looking for a way to give back or spread a little social justice with your gifting, you might check these out.

Goodwin Good Woman tee by Eleven5 – $35 // I love this cute little made-in-USA tee with a cool fit, which benefits Epic Girl.

7 Inches for Planned Parenthood – $100 boxset // $16 digital // This giant album of music, comedy, and spoken word has some incredible contributors including Jenny Slate, John Legend, St. Vincent, and Margaret Atwood.  All proceeds go to Planned Parenthood.

Lipstick Lobby Outrage Lipstick – $19 // Vegan, cruelty free, paraben free, and made in USA.  This vibrant shade of red benefits the ACLU.

Nisolo Gift card bundle – $35 // With this insanely cool deal, you get 5 x $50 gift cards to 5 different independent makers.  And $10 from your purchase goes to the Mocha Club school building.  There’s also a “men’s” bundle!

Rudy’s 1-2-3 bundle – $60 // This swanky gift pack of Rudy’s Barbershop (carried in Ace Hotels) shampoo, conditioner, and body wash is sulfate free, paraben free, and made in USA.  A second set for every purchase is donated to homeless LGBTQ youth via the It Gets Better Project.

Lubanzi Wines 2015 Rhone Red blend – $18 // This sustainable South African wine company has a great story, and works to give back to the community, donating 50% of its proceeds to Project Pebbles.  Their wine isn’t available in every state, but it’s worth checking out!

Warby Parket Tilley Sunglasses – $95 // I love this fresh pink hue on these sunnies from a get-one-give-one company.

Everlane 100% Human French terry sweatshirt – $50 // The responsibly made French terry is one of my favorite things from Everlane.  This version benefits Equality Now.
